Wintering:
21 days of rest
Welcome
I am so glad that you are giving yourself 21 Days of Rest. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with you.
21 Days of Rest begins January 15.
Take some time to explore the information on this page.
You are opening the doorway to rest and nourishing self-care.
To begin
Take a few minutes to read the Getting Started Guide.
In the guide you will learn about:
yoga nidra and the brain
the key features of Daring to Rest yoga nidra
setting up your rest nest and rest altar
creating your yoga nidra intention
tips for practicing yoga nidra
Here are your next steps
-

Set a heart-felt intention.
There’s more about intention setting in the Getting Started Guide. Stay with the same intention for the 21 days unless something else emerges within you.
-

Create your rest nest.
You don’t need to have a designated space in your house for your rest nest. You can practice yoga nidra in a variety of places. Check out the Getting Started Guide for more ideas.
-

Create your rest altar.
You can create your altar on a bookshelf, on a table in your living room, on your bedroom dresser…really wherever you will notice it. Place objects on your altar that have specific meaning to you.
-

Find a touchstone.
This is something small that fits in the palm of your hand. It can be an object from nature or another small object that has meaning to you.
Week One
This is a little ditty…a welcome to the participants.
